CORPORATE TRAINING
Announcing: Lexitas U!
What Is It?
Starting in 2025, the corporate training team is striving to make training bigger, better, and more seamlessly integrated to benefit all of our team members.
And we are doing this through an initiative we call Lexitas U.
The name has a double meaning: The “U” standing for University, as well as representing “You.”
We want YOU to be heard more and more when it comes to the training projects, learning events, or courses that you’d like to see in the future. And we want to help YOU with your personal and professional development for the long term.
What Can We Expect?
Starting early next year, we will be rolling out exciting new programs and platforms to help elevate training at the company, such as:
New training platform that houses all of your training courses conveniently inside Dayforce
Brand-new training course format that is more interactive, more engaging, and more intuitive (and less reliant on unnecessary videos)
A ground-up leadership training program for new managers, acquired managers, aspiring managers, or any experienced managers who wish to participate
A live “101 Series” training program to help those who are new to Lexitas and/or to their respective industry
More robust training about Artificial Intelligence, how it works, and how we can all leverage it to enhance our service to clients
Streamlined compliance training with live learning options to help keep things fresh
Easy ways to submit new training topic ideas or make official project requests
And more!
Stay tuned for announcements starting in the next few weeks as we methodically roll out these new programs and features.
And, as always, thank you so much for all your feedback and support!

Only the Strong Survive
From Brontis Orengo: Spartan Races are a series of obstacle course races that vary in length and difficulty. They take place all around the country and are generally an outdoor event where you run on dirt and bark.
The obstacles found in these races range from doing pushups, to climbing over 8-foot walls, to carrying full water jugs back and forth around designated areas. Depending on the race and location, you might find yourself completing these tasks in the dead heat of summer, or the punishing cold of winter.
It’s grueling, exhausting, and an incredible amount of fun.
While the event is usually held outdoors in some wooded or forested area, my personal favorite location for these races is when they are held inside a Baseball Stadium (called a Stadion Event). I have competed inside Citifield in Queens, New York, for the last 11 years, running through the corridors of the building, doing pushups in the locker room, and climbing up and down countless stairs with 40-pound sandbags on my back.
This year was my first time doing 2 Spartan Stadion Races in the same year. The first in June at Citifield, and the second in November at the legendary Fenway Park in Boston, Massachusetts.
Despite being an “old man,” (debatable, right?) my run at Fenway recorded my best time ever. I felt happy, healthy, and accomplished, and I’m even more excited to continue this trend in the future, possibly venturing afar to some other interesting stadiums around the country.
I also enjoy bringing friends along to run with me. Some thank me and politely tell me they will never do it again; others enjoy it so much they make a local yearly tradition out of it like I do.
So, if you have any interest at all in trying one of these races, please reach out and let me know. I’d be happy to show you the ropes, and how to climb them.

How to Build Your 401(k) and Watch Your Money Grow
You want the money in your 401(k)-retirement account to grow; so, to build a comfortable nest egg, you need a smart strategy.
Tips:
Save in a tax-deferred retirement account as soon as you can, to get more bang for your investment buck.
Start by saving just 1 percent if that is all you can afford and increase it as you can.
Save for retirement even if you think it is too late. It is never too late.
Save at least the amount the company matches, otherwise, you are throwing money away.
Aim to increase your contribution percentage each year; increase your savings rate each time you get a raise, or you have an expense go down i.e. bill paid off.
Utilize the retirement calculators and tools available to you within the 401(k) plan website.
Remember that Social Security will not be enough to finance your retirement.
