While you’ve already had the opportunity to read about how various offices have pitched in and given back to their local communities, we wanted to share more events where Lexitas opened its arms to those in need.
Reminder: Company LEAF Program
Earlier this year we announced the new LEAF program to assist employees.
If you missed it or want to learn more, please read this post on our company intranet (must be logged into your company Microsoft 365 account through SSO).
The Landing, Houston
Heartfelt thanks to our Lexitas team in Houston for coming together Tuesday for The Landing - Houston’s volunteer event! The incredible support from our team members made it a huge success.
Special shout out to Sally Rach, who managed the day, and Donna Griffin, who kept everything running smoothly. And we couldn't have pulled it off without our set-up and clean-up crew: Sally, Donna, Summer Preddy, Jennifer Carl, and Rose Hernandez – your teamwork made it all possible!
Lexitas volunteers worked together to assemble 300 snack packs, which will go a long way toward helping trafficking survivors know that they are valued and supported as they transition to safe environments.
Thank you to everyone who volunteered their time and energy.
Ice Cream Social
To both socialize and also show gratitude to our Houston teams after devastating Hurricane Beryl, we had a great time at our Lexitas Summertime Social in Houston! Thanks to everyone for taking time to step away from their desks, hang out for a while, and grab some delicious frozen treats from local ice cream truck Moooseum.
The turnout was fantastic, and we were happy to have our CEO, Gary Buckland, come out and join us. It was a lot of fun taking pictures with props, and meeting new team members while connecting with colleagues.
Looking forward to more events like this in the future!
Boost and Paws Event
From Debbie Weaver: Lexitas was part of an amazing event in Beacon, NY! I had the pleasure of representing Lexitas at Guardian Revival’s Boots & Paws dog awarding event, and I got to spend some time with Alex Othmer and the awesome teams behind it all. But the true VIPs of the day were three veterans and their brand-new, ridiculously cute companions.
We welcomed Liberty, Margaux, and Pluto into their new homes with Michael Berman, Ryan Perera, and Joseph Cruz. These pups are part of the 113 companion dogs placed through the Boots & Paws program – how incredible is that?!
These furry friends aren’t just adorable (though they are very adorable) – they’re trained to provide emotional support and companionship to service members, veterans, and first responders, along with their families. Plus, Guardian Revival goes all out with a comprehensive care package, including training manuals, financial help for all the essentials (hello, doggy crates and vet visits), and ongoing check-ins to make sure everything’s running smoothly.
Big thanks to our CEO Gary Buckland and the entire Lexitas team for making this sponsorship possible. When you all responded to our survey about philanthropic causes you’d like to support last year, animal care and military/veteran support were high on the list. Thanks to that encouragement, our outreach is making a big impact on people’s (and pups’) lives.

We are happy to share this short video with all of you recapping the awarding.
Many thanks to Amy Fox, St. Louis Video Manager, for assisting with this project. Very much appreciate your help with this.
Guardian Revival Fundraising
From Debbie Weaver: I’m excited to announce that Lexitas raised an amazing $32,969 for Guardian Revival during the 2024 One Mile Challenge! With 42 participants, our collective efforts have made a huge difference for military members, veterans, first responders, and their families.
A special thanks to the Barry Foundation for their generous donation match, doubling our impact!
I couldn’t be prouder of our team’s dedication to this great cause, and I truly appreciate everyone who donated and helped out.
